Purpose and Scope

This page explains fees across VoidAI operations, including native bridging, swapping, and CCIP routing.

Operations covered:

TAO Bridging — Bittensor ↔ Ethereum
ALPHA Bridging — Bittensor ↔ Ethereum
Token Swapping — xTAO ↔ subnet ALPHA tokens (Ethereum)
CCIP Asset Transfer — wTAO / wALPHA between Ethereum and CCIP-enabled chains (Base, Solana)

Token notation used in this page: TAO and ALPHA are native representations in bridge context; wTAO and wALPHA are wrapped representations; xTAO follows the swap module naming used by the platform UI.

Fee Component Definitions

One or more of the following components may apply:

Platform Fee — Percentage-based fee or fixed minimum (whichever is higher)
Source Network Fee — Fixed source-side charge for applicable operations
Destination Execution Gas — Destination-chain execution gas (dynamic)
CCIP Bridge Fee — Dynamic, charged by Chainlink (for CCIP transfers)

Dynamic gas is estimated in real time and displayed before transaction confirmation.

How Fee Calculation Works

For bridging and swap operations, platform fee is calculated as:

Applied Platform Fee = max(percentage-based fee, minimum fee)

This protects operation viability for lower transfer amounts.

When are fees deducted?

Fees are deducted at transaction confirmation.
All amounts are shown before you approve.

Why does gas vary?

Gas fluctuates based on source-chain network congestion.
The current estimate is displayed before confirmation.

What if my transfer is too small?

If your transfer is smaller than the minimum fee required, the transaction will not process.

Are ALPHA fees the same for all subnets?

Yes. The ALPHA fee structure applies uniformly across all subnet ALPHA tokens.

Can fees change?

Fixed fees and percentages may be updated by VoidAI.
Dynamic gas always fluctuates.
